Who am I? Why do I call myself Sweet Momma? And where on earth did I come from!?
If you ever wondered, grab a cup of cocoa and read on...
In Late fall, 1974, I am born. the first child in my family.
A role I will have all to myself until 1978 when I welcome a baby sister.
I have a carefree childhood spent playing outside, curled up with many books under the tree in our backyard. I read the entire "Nancy Drew" series in one summer and decide to be a detective when I grow up. I am a Girl Guide and compete with the girl across the street to see who can get the most badges by the time we are done..I think she won. We move.. alot.. ever 3 1/2 years to be exact so I learn how to make friends fast and understand important it is to hold onto the good ones!
I attend church with my mom until I am old enough to decide that " I would rather watch cartoons then sit in a stuffy old church" I become a "Christmas and Easter Christian" but believe that I am "saved"
In 1993: I graduate high school. The Grad party after was hilarious..my father armed me with 3 "light beers" and tells me not to drink them all in one place. I behave myself and stumble in around 6..more tired than anything. My Grandfather gives me a matching pen and pencil set to "write myself out of jail with" I assume he is kidding but deep down wonder if he's not.
In 1994: I move to the "big city" and live in a basement suite with a little old lady that my parents knew until the end of the school year when I move in with my best friend Michelle. We share a two bedroom upstairs suite and have the best summer of my life. Summer storms with great puddles to jump in, sappy old black and white movies. And a landlord who smoked pot out in the garage.
In 1995:While in college,In all my "new found freedom" I flirt with satan and find myself pregnant and in the winter of 1995 I welcome Niffy Nunu into my life. A blessing in the middle of disaster.
I force myself to "grow up".
I graduate from College..a feat since I brought Niffy Nunu with me to class every day. Thankfully she was a great baby and slept through the night right off the start so I could get some studying in.
In 1998: I move myself and Niffy nunu back to my parents house.
I have a spiritual awakening after experiencing hurt and heartache and re-commit my life to Jesus. I begin to walk with Him personally--reading my Bible, praying with passion--for the first time in my life.
I begin to learn more about God's grace, mercy and forgiveness.
In 1999 I meet Big Daddy and fall head over heals in love.
We date, we laugh, we have fun..we got engaged.
Maybe a little too soon.
Summer 2001 Big Daddy and I tie the knot with Niffy Nunu as our flower girl..what my dh lovingly refers to as the beginning of "two years from hell". I know that sounds a little harsh, but it's true.
We both had a lot of learning and growing to do.
Thankfully we have since moved past that place with God's help and our relationship is much stronger.
In the winter of 2004 I give birth to a son whom I nick name "Mr.D" .
Niffy nunu is 9 and filled with such emotions over her new little brother.
Excited that he is here but not overly impressed with all the attention he is receiving.
We learn to function as a family of 4.
I adore every minute and fall in love with my son.
We decide that we need a bigger home and a change in location so we start plans to build a home 4 /12 hours away from all of our friends and family! 18 months later In the spring of 2006 we move into our own house!
Construction is complete!
Oops..guess we should have asked them to build a 4Th bedroom!
Giggles is born in the winter of 2006. Mr. D is 25 months old. I have bounds of creative energy and stories to tell and need an outlet. My nana tells me that I should really write a book to record all the crazy adventures we have had along the way.
Took a little prodding but on July 6, 2007 , I start this blog and never look back.
Spring 2009: We learn that we are pregnant..again!
sadly I suffer a miscarriage at 6 weeks.
I continue to share our life through blogging, unbeknownst to our children, who spend their days in a family full of many big blessings. I strive to love my husband as God would have me to, and to parent our children together with him in a balanced, loving way.
And, in 2009? God only knows!
And what about you, dear ones? When and how did you intercept our lives? Now that you know more about how on earth it is that I became Sweet Momma, I'd love to hear about how you came to be sitting on that end of the computer!
Do share!

God Bless You!
Not that I've lived a "charmed" life, but I was fortunate to meet Hubby and fell almost instantly in love. We've been married for ten years and had to struggle to get pregnant with our two darling daughters.
Keep God in your life & you can get through anything - it sounds like you've figured that out already :)
I'd love to see you at my blog: Life Makes Me Laugh
Hi there! Niki from NJ stoppin' by from Blog Hop.
Love your blog so far..the theme is gorgeous.
:)
Awww.... that was a great summer! I have many good memories of it too.
By the way, "Sweet Momma" you are very strong and isn't it true how life has a way of working out the way it should??? Hard to believe back during some of those times but I knew you'd come out fine. Better than fine actually.
